The TruthFor Once

The Real Story

You found the fine print. Welcome to the only true page on this website.

Everything else in The Trustworthy Times is completely made up. The Moon is not 78% cheese. Robux is not replacing the dollar. A mountain biker did not reach orbit. We checked. Twice.

So why build it? Because this website’s address ends in .org — and a lot of people believe that little “.org” means a site must be telling the truth. It doesn’t. Anyone can register a .org. I registered this one in about five minutes, for roughly the price of a couple of chicken finger combos.

A domain name is not a fact-check. Not .org, not .com, not .gov-spelled-slightly-wrong. The web address tells you who paid for the website. It tells you nothing about whether what’s on it is true.

Take a claim people repeat all the time: that AI is wrecking the environment. Maybe you read it on a confident-looking site. Maybe that site even ended in .org. Before you pass it on, ask the same questions you’d ask here: Who is saying this? What is their actual evidence? Can I find the real numbers, or just a scary headline? “A guy named Steve peer-reviewed it” is not a source. Neither is “trust us, we’re a .org.”

That’s the whole point. If a .org can tell you the Moon is made of cheese, a .org can tell you anything at all.

Check the sources. Follow the evidence. Be impossible to fool.
